When you join the GANESH HIMAL CHARITY TREK you become part of the Active Hearts Foundation's mission to create positive education and health opportunities for the children of the Himalaya. 

Heartspace Expeditions is proud and privileged to sponsor the following project through the 2026 Ganesh Himal Charity Trek.

Navajeewan School – Winterization Support 

Navajeewan School in Kakani-6, Nuwakot, serves 579 students with 29 staff, offering standout programs in agriculture and permaculture. Under Principal Binod Lama, students gain hands-on skills while learning in a vibrant, well-managed environment. 

The school now urgently needs doors and windows for a new 10-room building, including classrooms, staff and admin rooms, and expanded hostel facilities. The cost to complete this project is $10,000 NZD.

Support from Ganesh Himal Charity Trek guests will help create safe, warm, winter-ready spaces for learning and living, protecting students during the harsh months while enhancing their education and growth.

• Reach out to friends, family, and workmates: Share the story of the Navajeewan School – Winterization Support project and the importance of providing a safer learning environment for the children. 
   

• Organise a fundraising event: Whether it is a small gathering or a virtual event, every bit helps. Hosting a fundraiser to raise awareness and support for the school can go a long way.

There are a couple of ways to gather donations and get them to the Active Hearts Foundation project fund. 

A – You can gather donations until you reach your goal then send the total as a single donation on behalf of your supporters through the Active Hearts Foundation Project webpage at Navajeewan School – Winterization Support

B – You can direct your supporters to the Active Hearts Foundation Project page at Navajeewan School – Winterization Support and encourage them to donate directly. During the donation process, there will be an option for donors to add the name of the Ganesh Himal Charity Trekker they are supporting. Encourage them to add your name here and a record of the amount generated by you will be kept.
